CENTRAL SPRINKLER COMPANY VOLUNTARY RECALL
In July, 2001 Central Sprinkler Company and the U.S. Consumers
Products Safety Commission announced a voluntary replacement program
for 35 million Central Sprinkler Heads that contain an o-ring seal.
It has been determined that some of these o-ring sprinklers may not
activate properly in the event of a fire.
The replacement program includes Central Sprinkler Company model
GB all prior to and including 1997 and some after 1998. Central ROC
Concealors if spring is near element. Gem and Star On-Off heads and
model F927 pendant. Star dry type sprinklers model ME-1, SG, SGQR,
Q, and QR-Q. Some sprinklers are have also been recalled but are not
covered under the voluntary replacement program (VRP) these include
all Central Omega sprinklers and Star ME-1 dry sprinklers
manufactured between 1983-1995.

RECALL
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with
Globe Fire Sprinkler Corp., has announced a voluntary recall of
Globe Model "J" series dry fire sprinklers. For more information and

Do you have an old Grinnell E-2 dry pipe valve? All sizes of
this valve are now considered obsolete by Tyco and repair parts
are no longer available.

If your valve has become problematic our recommendation is
to replace it immediately.
